Announcement — Purchase From ArcherRat Publishing via PayPal

     My first efforts in selling e-books online were pretty tentative, and originally Dead But Hostile was sold only by Amazon and the Apple iTunes AppStore. With the new release, An Occurrence at Bifrost Bridge, and with all subsequent releases I'll also be able to sell e-books and fulfill them from this site.

     I'm in the process of configuring an e-commerce package, but it will be a while (probably quite a while) before it's fully functional. In the meantime, I've implemented a very basic work-around solution.

     In the catalogue listing below, whenever you see a button with the ArcherRat Publishing logo —

— the logo is a link by which you can purchase the e-book through use of the PayPal service. Clicking this icon will take you to PayPal, where you can send payment to ArcherRat Publishing with use of a credit or debit card. When you arrive at the PayPal site via this link, information such as the name of the item you are buying, the payment amount, and the name of the merchant (ArcherRat) are already filled in.

     In the message blank on the PayPal page, or via separate e-mail, you should tell me at which e-mail address you'd like to receive the e-book. I'll contact the purchaser at that e-mail address and provide a web link from which the buyer can download the purchased title.

     NOTE: By buying directly from ArcherRat Publishing this way, you'll be able to download the e-book in any or all of the following forrmats:

• ePub (used by a variety of reading programs and devices, including Adobe Digital Editions, Aldiko, FBReader, Stanza, and many more)
• HTML (these files are packed in a .ZIP archive; extract them into a directory and read them with any web browser)
• HTML Help (.chm) (the help format distributed by Microwoft with Windows 98 and later editions of the Windows OS, it can be read by Windowss and by some specialized readers running under other operating systems)
• Mobipocket (.mobi) (which you can read on Kindle devices and Kindle reading programs as well as in Mobipocket readers)
• PDF (viewable by any program that displays Adobe Acrobat files)

     All of these files are DRM-free.
